ClientFlow CRM: Managing Leads, Customer Relationships & Follow-ups
Built something I've been working on: ClientFlow CRM. Started this project to deepen my PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript skills into a full system for leads, customers, tasks, and follow-ups.
The Genesis of ClientFlow CRM
Managing customer interactions across spreadsheets and disparate messaging apps quickly becomes chaotic for growing agencies and sales teams. ClientFlow CRM was built as a focused, intuitive web application designed to bring order, structure, and accountability to customer relationship management.
I took on this project as a deliberate vehicle to challenge my full-stack capabilities, particularly in relational data modeling and stateful server interactions.
Key System Capabilities
ClientFlow CRM encompasses the complete lifecycle of lead acquisition and customer retention:
- Lead Capture & Tracking: Intake leads from various channels, assign priority scores, and monitor progress across customized status pipelines.
- Automated Follow-Up Scheduling: Never drop a conversation—built-in task scheduling with chronological reminders for upcoming phone calls and email check-ins.
- Customer Dossier: Consolidated client history displaying all communications, associated contracts, and historical interactions in a single view.
- Dynamic Form Validation: JavaScript client-side validation paired with strict backend PHP sanitization to ensure pristine data hygiene.
- Responsive Dashboard: Fully adaptive layout built with Bootstrap 5, optimized for quick navigation whether accessed on an office desktop or on the go via mobile.
Public Testing & The Community QA Team
I deployed the initial release publicly at clientflow.free.nf and invited my LinkedIn network to register accounts and test drive the system. As I joked in my post, if you discover an unexpected bug, congratulations—you have officially been promoted to my QA team!
Gathering feedback from real users exposed crucial edge cases, such as handling unique email constraints during user registration and handling responsive table pagination on small viewports.
